"Macmillan MVP Cricket League:
Celebrating 100 not out"

The hard-working charity is celebrating its Centenary year and has decided to set up the league as part of reaching that milestone. A host of local cricketers have already joined the set-up which will help raise vital funds to aid the excellent support services that Macmillan provide to those living with cancer.

Joining the league itself is simple and any player in the above local Saturday cricket first or second team can enter for just £5. Points will be awarded to each player depending on their performances for their team.

The points criteria for each player registered will include points earned all over the field, so it suits every player in the team.

Here's how to enter the players from your club:

Secretary’s at all local cricket clubs who play in the league have been sent a letter and poster from Macmillan with full details of the competition. If you require a form you can email contact_us@clubcric.com and we'll email you the form. Alternatively, for forms and more information

The competition will be covered weekly in the Birmingham Mail and on new club cricket website, www.clubcric.com in their league MVP sections."

Macmillan Golf Day Friday 23rd September 2011

The Golf Day promises to be a great event. Could I please ask that if anyone from your club sends in an entry form to Macmillan they let me know so I can keep a record of who has entered. We only have spaces for 23 four balls and they will go quickly, so it will be first come first served, however the opportunity to attend the dinner and maybe win one of the great raffle prizes is an option and will be a fun night so if you can please try to support.
The Exec fully support the initiative and hope that you will too. Stephen Dourass from Macmillan will be writing to you shortly inviting your clubs and players to enter the competition which will run throughout the 2011 season.
