It is considered inappropriate for the image and spirit of our game. This applies to all competitions ECB Recreational Competitions.

Such a delivery will now be a No Ball in accordance with the new playing condition below.
Non First Class Regulations and Playing Conditions. Generic Playing Condition 14
Law 24.6 is replaced by:
The umpire at the bowlers' end shall call and signal No ball if a ball which he considers to have been delivered, without having previously touched bat or person of the striker, either
(i) bounces more than ONCE
or
(ii) rolls along the ground before it reaches the popping crease.

This will apply in all matches in the following competitions with immediate effect - ECB Premier Leagues, the National Club Championship, Cockspur Club T/20, U17 County Championship, U17, U15 & U14 County Cups and the U13 County Competition.

Colleagues,

The ECB have re-issued their directives/guidelines on U13 and below playing in open age Cricket. At our Exec Meeting tonight The SCCC have adopted these directives/ guidelines

1. Any player in Year 7 or below ( Under 12 at midnight on 31st August in the year preceding the current season ) cannot play in open age cricket with or without explicit written consent.

2.The guidelines will allow junior players in Year 8 at school ( Under 13 at midnight on 31st August in the year preceding the current season)to play in open age cricket providing 'Explicit Written Consent' to play in open age cricket has been obtained prior to play.

The SCCC will now no longer accept a registration for a player in school year 7 or below and they are not eligible to play in the SCCC. Any current registrations should be viewed as cancelled, even if the players name appears on the SCCC play- cricket web site.
These guidelines will be in the 2010 Handbook.
